A fully local native desktop app that automatically detects Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet calls, starts transcription, and generates a structured summary at the end. Everything runs on-device — no data leaves your machine.
Context
Meeting notes are often scattered, incomplete, or lost. Professionals need a dedicated tool that combines recording, transcription, and structured summarization — without sending sensitive data to the cloud.
The Challenge
Build a fully local native desktop application that automatically detects active meeting calls (Teams, Zoom, Google Meet), transcribes them in real-time, and generates structured minutes — all without any data leaving the user's machine.
The Solution
Developed a native desktop app using Tauri (Rust backend) with a React frontend. The app automatically detects when a Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet call starts and begins recording/transcription. At the end of the meeting, it generates a structured procès-verbal with context, decisions, action items, and open points. Integrated BlockNote for rich text editing and an AI chat assistant to query meeting content. Everything runs 100% locally for complete data privacy.
