Context
Online debates are often dominated by popularity and emotional reactions rather than evidence and logic. There's no platform that rewards well-sourced, credible arguments over viral hot takes.
The Challenge
Build a social platform where the quality of arguments matters more than the number of likes. Implement a credibility scoring system powered by AI that can verify sources and assess argument strength.
The Solution
Developed Ratio, a weighted debate platform using Next.js with Prisma and PostgreSQL. Integrated Claude AI for automated fact-checking and source credibility scoring. Added gamification elements including leagues (Bronze to Legend), badges, streaks, and 1v1 duels to incentivize quality contributions. Users build expertise through verified credentials.
